Anyone coing to the WCAF Show?

Maine Lobster is so bad that in the 1600, the colonies passed a law forbidding Estate Holders from feeding their indentured servents more than 11 meals a week containing lobster. Directing 2 meals of pork, and 2 of fowl.

Surely Baer, you are not suggesting that the "Right Coast Portland" does not have the best lobstah in the world.

I am not certain but I would guess that the servents were disapointed to have their lobster rations cut to only 11 a week. :vomit: Now, I love to eat lobster, but 11 times a week? UHHHHHHH:vomit:

I broached the subject of LV with the lovely Miss E. this morning and she said "Sure, let's go". First time she has paid any interest in attending a framing trade show. Am I missing something?

Well, I guess I better start saving my pennies to feed her slot addiction...

Um, that would be 2 for Chinese dinner, please.

Just booked my tickets and hotel. $105 for on the strip is an excellent deal! What's with the hotel? Why so cheap? Someone mentioned getting in on Saturday night to catch all the classes on Sunday. Is it really that beneficial? I was planning on getting in on Sunday night, so I'm curious if I should change. It's Southwest, so no cost to change. Any input? What's with the limo ride? How much do we have to pay to see the faces that go with the names on this board? I've already met some of you at ATL so I'm pretty sure it will be worth it. I wasn't too sure I was going to go to this, but after reading this thread, I'm all in. Pun intended. Has anyone stepped up to organize a dinner for the Baltimore show? I live about 10 minutes from the convention center, if anyone wants to vote me in to organize a dinner. Ram's Head Tavern, Fells Point Brew Pub, they're all good ones right down there by the convention center. The Orioles might even be playing by then. I don't know about a limo ride in the city of Baltimore though.

If someone normally organizes these types of things, I'm sorry if I stepped on any toes. But since this is the first year for Baltimore, then I figured I would step up. Plus I love planning stuff like that...

Feedback appreciated.

dave.

Let all be advised that I hereby nominate Danny Boy (henceforth known as "Advisor") as my Sea Food Advisor for the duration of the advised Las Vegas show.

I will reciprocate by advising my Advisor about best wines to go with advised sea food.

As Resident BossyBody, I concur with Dave's self appointment for a Grumble dinner (assuming it can be a Joint Soiree with the HitchHikers, who usually hold dual citizenship, anyway).

And I gotta admit, I am thinking heavily about coming to the WCAF (on account of I hardly ever go to a trade show hehehehehe). I would be seeking a roommate (female, of course). I may snore lightly (so I have been told) but I share well and don't smoke.

You little ol' Matchmaker, you! Thanks, Denny.

Ellen, you there? I don't smoke either, used to snoring (husband does, I just use his pillow...'nuff said on that! Ha!) No, really, you're safe.

I'd like to add my confirmation to this and I'm really looking forward to it. Count me in for the Grumble dinner and the front door get-together too! It will be great to see people I met last year--and put more faces together with names.

I'll be booking within the next two weeks, but have a couple of questions maybe someone could give an opinion on...I want to spend an extra couple of days to get out to see some of the Grand Canyon. Never been there! I'm dying to check out those gorgeous mountains! Has anybody done this? Bus tours? Is it better to try the helicopter flights? Rent a car? Hitchhike? I can't ride a horse any more....Any suggestions? I'd love to hear from you.

WCAF

So glad to hear such good things from you guys about the WCAF... It's the only trade show I've attended since it started... usually every year or so. The classes are the best, and always see and learn new things about our biz. I've always been impressed, but havent' attended other shows around the country to compare it.
