I've got to mount a basketball net that has been cut down from the goal (of course)! However, my problem is what to do with the strings that attached the net to the goal. I'm having trouble with how to lay it out on the background to make it look good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

We always mounted things like this by laying it down as close as possible to the way it hung off the goal. We stitched the strings down with the ends sticking more or less straight up. Some folks use an Attach-EZ rather than stitching. I don't think you will be able to make the cut ends of the strings look particularly "neat". You could cut them off with a hot knife like they use to burn designs into wood. That eliminates the frayed ends and sort of melts the whole thing together. We never worried too much about making sports items used in actual games look sterile.

I don't know what your overall design plan is, but it might be cool to use Bainbridge 69746 Basketball as a background.
