I just got "For Members Only" from PPFA. Im listed Im really really listed. Right there go and look quick.....ummmm hang on!!!!! Who the h**l is Terry Hartman? My name is Jerry.... "juhhh juhh Jeerrrrry". What thats not my phone number either! Shesh! I think I need a nap!

There is a bright side here. If you suddenly start getting lots of junk mail addressed to Terry Hartman, you'll know where it's coming from.

Don't we already have a Terry Hartman on The Grumble? Maybe I'm thinking of Terry Hart.

You mean your name ISN'T Jay? What are you trying to pull here?

Jerry is the name my parents gave me. Like my dad I was referred to as JJ for Jerry Jr. I grew out of that and became "Jay". Which is what all my friends call me. You however Mr. Eggers can refer to me as Mr. Hartman.

Mr. Hartman,

People used to tell me I look like David Hartman. I never found that terribly flattering.

I hope he's not a relative.

Don't be overly concerned about the accuracy of your PPFA listing. They had my street address and email address wrong for a while, but they always manage to get things straightened out in time to send out a renewal invoice.

If you email Jennifer Lasky jlasky@pmai.org at the PPFA with details of what is wrong….she will correct it for you this way your details at the PPFA web site will be up to date…..I have found the people at the PPFA to be some of the most helpful and accommodating people you will find any where…

PS
Jay what did you put on your application form!!! this is where the PPFA got your details

The envelope that the publication came in has my correct name. The phone number is my cell number. I probably gave that to them as I didn't have a phone until the second week I was open. I guess I need to charge up my cell phone to answer the thousands of people calling that number right now!

YOu are showing your young age, Jay!!

David Hartman was the anchor on Good Morning America back in the 70's. He also played in one of those doctor series but I don't remember which one.

The only thing that comes to mind with "Mary Hartman" was that really cool satire show on all these soap operas. It was called "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" but I don't remember if it ran for even a full season on any of the major channels. (That had to be back in the 70's or 80's.) It really took a hack at the "soaps" and was alot of fun to watch, IMHO.

P.S. Jay, I didn't know they HAD lumber camps in Owensboro!!

Just when they were clearing land for the burbon factory!

Well Ron, I got my first catalog for tapes sent to me Saturday addressed to "Terry Hartman". How did you know that would happen?

You mean you don't market to people that way, too?
I certainly do.

Betty

Not actually. I figures most of the "new members" listed in the PPFA newsletter has other sources than me to do thier framing.

Just kidding. I know what you mean....sorta. Im assuming that you get listings of property transfers and the like from newspaper? You have different ideas?

No specific place. I'm just always looking. For instance, when I read about someone I know (or even kinda know) getting an award or recognition, I send them a card.

I'm always e-mailing people saying, "I saw where you..." whatever. Not specifically promoting framing as such, but promoting awareness of who I am and with that goes what I do (because I do a lot of stuff!)

I just joined the Chamber of Commerce. I've gotten a chunk of mailings from that, and I'm getting ready to "introduce myself" to the other members.

As my husband says, I've always got my mind in "marketing mode!"

Betty, get ready to meat a whole bunch of REal Estate peoples. I've been a member of 11 CC and all were made up by about 92% Realtors and 8% who were afraid to show up.
fun groups when the wine starts running....
Catalogs aint so bad, it's the hearing aid sales thingys and the AARP can't wait till I get a walker.....
