Just received this email question a few minutes ago....

I have been looking for several years for a black and white pencil print. It is of a single male solder in full combat dress. Beside of him is a prayer adapted from “Footprints” only it is for the soldier. I don’t know who drew or when it was drawn. Any information about it would be most welcome. To actually know where I can get a print would be over Pluto. Thanks for your help.

Any ideas from anyone would be appreciated.

John

There are 2 versons of the "Soldiers Prayer", but as far as I know niehter really sound like the FootPrints in the sand. I will check with my unit Chaplin today and see if he knows anything about them. I'm suspecting it might have been a drawing by Dick Kramer. He has done some similar drawings for Fire, EMT, and Police with a prayer.

You know what John..........I saw that poem in with my grandfather's old navy pictures...........

I'm trying to think if there was a picture with it......DANG...
I can help you with the poem........I know I've seen that sketch somewhere though!!
I'll keep racking my brain!;)

John, any idea of some of the wording within the poem.

I have seen quite a number of 'Soldiers Prayers' over the years.
