I have a 36 x 55 outdoor banner which hangs from standards on the lightposts on the Country Club Plaza. It's not heavy, rather like the thickness of heavy typing paper. Client wants to hang it like a tapestry, so I can create a rod pocket at the top for the small metal curtain rod she bought.

I can sew it or can I glue it? Sewing is probably better but is there an atg tape that would be strong enough to be the line where I'd normally sew? I'm lightly weighting the bottom rod pocket.

How is it hung when it's up on the post?

From brackets the rod sits in. They're attached to the wall so it's like hanging a curtain panel.

Would an iron tape work? Stitch Witchery comes in 1/4 or 1/2" rolls and would be more permanent that any ATG type tape.
