I am currently using Picasa for my photo editing. I've run into a problem that I can't find a solution for on their forum.

Not sure if any of use Picasa but here's my problem/question.

In my image I added a border and extra room to put my text below the photo. I can edit and center the text WITHIN the text box
however, I cannot center the text box (that includes my text) below the photo. I tried the best I could and ordered 5 prints
(only $1 ea) and when I tried to cut a mat with a French Stair the text was too far to the right! Ugh!

I can't seem to find a ruler to add to the area where I'm editing my photo.

If you have any tips on this please let me know.

Otherwise......I've looked at several free photo editors and none of them have all the features that Picasa has.
Do you have any recommendations?

I don't really do much photo editing. I am printing some stuff to frame some samples for my wall. So...I really am not wanting
to purchase anything.

Once again, thank you!

gimp is quite a powerful editor thats free and should do what you want
I agree! Gimp is a very powerful image editor and is free.

Picasa is very basic.

Make your text box the full width of the image and center the text within the box. Since you're using the boundaries of the image as you left and right it will be centered.
