Massive AT&T Outage 2/22/24

AT&T has been having a nationwide outage since about 4am EST today, mostly for their cellular network. It also includes any of the sub companies they own. Towers shared by other carriers with roaming agreements may also have outages in some areas. Many phones say "SOS" on the screen, which means cellular is only available for 911 and first responder use. Phone and Data appear to be down, but texts may be working.

I'm not sure if business internet customers are down.

 
Folks on X (Twitter) were going nuts this morning. Takes, like, 1.65 seconds for 754 conspiracy theories to materialize.
 
A hack isnt beyond possibility.

I think that's pretty self-explanatory and I don't need to corroborate, confirm, cite, or verify any of the statements I've made.
Only the "sheeple" who can't see the patterns would even question the obvious.

AT&T's been working here since I first checked at 7AM. Maybe because I have special dispensation as a Starlink user and a Tesla owner... :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

It was down about 4am EST until 3:15pm EST. They say they are back online now.

Some co workers have that brand, and were down
 
They are not saying what happened, but also said that they are getting assistance from homeland security. So that says a lot, to me.

Drat. You found the one and only flaw in my hastily concocted and utterly bonkers theory.
I guess I have two choices:
1-To accept that you have disproven my theory fully and completely, and proceed in an orderly manner to better educate myself.
2-Dig in deeper and really go off the deep end.
Which do you think I'll choose?
