So, Wldman found that huge frame I was looking for.
The frame is 5.5" wide. My cassese can only take 4.5"
Can I take that guard thing off? You know that thing that puts pressure on the inside of the frame when joining it?

I remove the horizontal clamp from my ITW/AMP for very wide frames all of the time.

Forget the V-nailer ... Time for biscuits and clamps!!!!!

What model Cassesse do you have?

If it's a large frame size and you have the table space, biscuits and a strap clamp works well. You can add strap clamps together and go as big as you want.
You can also set up 4 vices on the floor and dry fit the corners before gluing. If the moulding is to big for the vice, you can tack a board that will fit {say a 3/8x4x8} to the bottom of the frame end.
Mount the vices to a 12x12 board.

I have a Pistorius underpinner. Many times the frames I join are either too wide or too tall. You learn to compensate. I routinely take the front clamp off if necessary and some times I have to remove the top clamp as well. I've wrapped cleaning cloths around a piece of thin steel and use that to keep the top arm from damaging the moulding.
