I love Infinity Hangers, and have basically stopped using screw eyes altogether. United has been out of the Infinity hangers the last couple of times I've ordered, and now I'm down to just a few. Peter, if you are reading the G, what's up with these?
In the meantime, anyone know of an alternative source, or have any you'd be willing to sell?

Thanks.

What are Infinity Hangers? I must admit that I have never heard of them! I must be falling down on the number of hours I usually spend drooling over the United catalog!

The Infinity hanger is manufactured by Frameware and they have discounted the black style only. The brass are still available. I am sorry when a product is no longer manufactured but manufacturers usually make these decisions based on sales. The black infinity hanger was not a brisk seller. The brass will be available for the foreseeable future.

The infinity hanger is a turnbutton shaped like a figure eight or the infinity sign. It is used as a turnbutton or as replacement for a screw eye.

Good news. I just called Frameware hoping to stock up on black infinity hangers before they were all gone-we love them and brass just doesn't make it!! They said that they have not been discontinued.

Glad to hear that, but I wonder why United said they had been? I wonder if I can get the black ones directly from Frameware and send back the 1,000 brass ones United is supposed to be sending me? I like the way the black ones just disappear against black backing paper.

Latest Update:
I spoke to Frameware this morning, and the black ones are indeed discontinued. They had just sold the last two packs of them. So, I guess we'll have to get used to the brass ones. Maybe we can promote it as a "luxury upgrade, at no extra charge".

I can't believe it! Yesterday, someone at Frameware told me that they weren't discontinued and that I could order 5000 at $14 and change per thousand. I certainly didn't intend to pass on bad info. I'll be calling back in the morning to find out what happened. I liked the way the black looks with Lineco blue gray backing paper, super soft strand, clear bumpons and our black and white labels. Brass just isn't the same.

I guess we'll have to spray paint 'em. Now I'm just looking forward to seeing any color of them showing up some day soon. Screw eyes are so last century.
