I’m attaching a comic panel that is painted on the back of a piece of acetate or Mylar.

How do we typically attach these? I know I don’t want to score the plastic sheet, but I also know we don’t have to worry about acid. I’m not sure of the lifespan of basic masking tape adhesive.

What’s your go-to here?
 
Yes, I would treat it just like an animation cel. No adhesive(.)! corner pockets or edge strips to hold in place. I do like the thought of using mylar to make those strips as well, especially if there is very little mat overlap to begin with.
