Has anyone tried...

I wouldn't go for the no-name machines. They may work fine, but you may have a hard time get replacement parts, They have some used cassese machines for $1000 - $1500. I'm sure those would work out a lot better in the long run. You could get a manual machine for around the $800. They should work if you aren't going to be make a lot of frames and you want a nice workout on top of it.

A lot of the $800 or so ones are new but from China, with $447 shipping fee.

Caveat Emptor.

Not only no, HECK NO. They sell everything under the sun in their eBay store.................1870 items. AND NOT A VNAIL IN SIGHT. And no spare parts either. Big boat anchor is what it will be with no vnails or spare parts. A search of their eBay store at https://www.ebay.com/str/asc365usa?_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l170197 Security Measure didn't reveal anything else related to this hunk of stuff. Neither did their Amazon store at https://www.amazon.com/s?k=HayWHNKN Amazon.com : HayWHNKN

Buy something else.
