Free Saw Blade Sharpening!

Bill,
You mentioned that you also sharpen copper blades.
How much do you charge for sharpening a Morso chopper blade?
Regards,
Troy

The 275mm blades are becoming more popular. We have the 80 tooth in stock 275DW80-32 at $123, the 100 tooth blades are currently in production and will be available in a few weeks. That blade is the 275DW100-32 at $136.

Chopper blade sharpening is $37 per set.

Also, to answer your question Jeff, we use Tricon for our braze alloy.

Thanks for your questions and great response to our offer!

I want to say thanks for sponsoring the Grumble as well as giving us a good deal on blade sharpening.

The 437 for chopper blades, is shipping (back included in that price? Do ou have a "box" for shipping them in? Techmark (I think that's their name) makes a box for shipping and storing chopper blades that they sell for $25.

Bob,

I'm sorry, but the $37 price does not include return shipping. Our facility here in St Louis specializes in circular saw blade sales and sharpening services.

The chopper knives are sent out to a local knife grinding specialist, Pavyer Printing and Machine Works, which has been sharpening industrial knives for 115 years.

Quinn Saw has always focused on saw blades, but we also provide other sharpening services (knife grinding, cutters, router bits...) for customer who request it through specialized partners like Pavyer.

Yes Doug, we received your blades today. They are scheduled and loaded for sharpening tonight. They will ship back to you tomorrow (03/20) via UPS.

Bandsaw blades are made to order in just a few days. 105" blades cost $14.25 for 1/4" and 3/8" wide, or $14.70 for 1/2" wide. Let us know the width and tooth pitch you need.

Thanks again Bill. The last two blades i sent were for my FrameSquare miter saw. I called and explained the problem to you... one would burn the moulding even when i cut very very slow... if i went faster, it would not burn the moulding nearly as much, but it would chip the moulding on the inside corner. The other blade was still new and never used. I sent both of them to you to check them out. You fixed 'em! Clean cuts. No burning at all... i can make the cuts at a descent speed. I just have to slow down a little near the end of the cut (because of the "gesso") so the inside corners do not chip. As usual... 1000% satisfied. I will list you on my website and highly recommend you to everyone. Thanks again. :icon19::icon19::icon19::icon19:

Thanks Ahohen. I'll have to give the credit to Mark and Neil who do all of the carbide tipped saw blades at my shop. These guys are perfectionist. We put a lot of effort into the repair and sharpening of a saw blade, much like all the Grumblers do when building a frame for there customers.
Any time you have a problem with sawing wood, metal, plastic mouldings give us a call.

Here are the 14" blades.

We charge by the number of teeth. For example 60 teeth= $15.00
80 teeth $20.00, 100 teeth $25.00 tip repair is $3.00 per tip.
The Grumble offer is also free tip repair if needed. Turn around is 1-2 days.
Thank You, Bill Zickel

Bill... the cost of sharpening each tooth is 25 cents. Does the same apply to ALL?, for example, a 7 1/4" blade with 6 teeth... 25 cents x 6 = $1.50 or is there a minimum? There is a local carpenter who uses blades like this and after i told him about you, this is what he asked me. (He also, of course, uses 10" blades, bandsaw blades, etc....) Thanks. ajh

Ahohen, The 7-1/4" blades these day's are almost throwaway. Our minimum charge is $10.00 for blades up to 40 teeth. Sometimes we get in 10" and 12" blades that are so cheap we have to ask ourselves is it worth doing them. We don't even sell 7-1/4" blades, we tell our contractor friends to go to Lowes or Home Depot.

Hello triplechip...

A shop in Morgan City, Louisiana, which i suggested to send you some blades to check out your perfection just called me and asked for your address... they will be sending a set to you shortly.

I told him "To want their address, you must really like the way they sharpened the other set of blades you sent..." He told me the blades you sharpened have NEVER cut that great before.

I will also be sending you a set or two in the next couple of months.

Thanks for the super sharpening service. ajh :popc:

I have some dull ones that need to be sharpened. I will send those soon.

Jerry, they sharpened my Frame Square blade and it cuts like butter. My Pistorius blades they sharpened are great also. I'm getting ready to send 3 sets to them in a day or so.
