Hi, not sure if anyone remembers ths manual underpinner (great if your worried by energy costs!) but I'm posting in the hope that there is someone who can help. When I try to underpin the corner of the frame I'm undepinning is pushed up from below - does anyone have a solution for this? Thank, Rob
If set up correctly the pressure pad should prevent that happening. This is the procedure……
Take the first pressure by pressing the foot pedal until the hammer is engaged but does not move, you’ll feel the resistance.
The pressure pad, which is on a threaded rod, will also move down but now screw if down further until it is tight against the moulding, then give it half a turn back (don’t do that half turn for very hard woods)
That should make sure the pad hits the top of the moulding just before the hammer is raised.
