Asking $800 obo—as is. Location Salisbury, CT 06068
I bought this unit second hand in 2013 for a project that never happened. At that time, I tested it and it was working. It has been sitting in my garage unused since then. I recently got a power cord to plug into my dryer outlet so I could test it. I let it heat up until the digital readout on the front panel showed 220F, then opened the lid and read the temperature of the diaphragm (175-183F) and glass (255-259F) with a laser thermometer so 220F is near the middle of that range. It appears that a component which I think may be a heat sensor has become unglued from the inner glass. It appears that glueing it back in place requires removing the two gas struts on the sides, lifting the lid up at least 90 degrees and unscrewing the glass (phillips screws). This is something I don’t have the willingness to do so I am selling it as is, though I dont think it should be too difficult. I powered it up and it does reach temperature so I’m not sure it’s absolutely necessary to glue the component to the glass but it’s probably a good idea since thats how it was originally. The diaphragm appears to be in good condition. There is no mold on the seal or anywhere I can see. Here’s a video of me checking the temp:
I have the vacuum pump as well (Gast 72R155- V33-S222TX). After plugging it in and realizing it wasn’t pumping correctly I realized it is 220/240V 50hz. I don’t have a step down transformer here to test it properly. Sold as is.
The heat press uses 230V and has a NEMA 6-20 plug attached. I have a 30ft 6-20 extension cord which I can include for an extra $10 if you need it. The vacuum pump has a male IEC 320 receptacle.
I have an adapter that allows you to plug the heat press into a dryer outlet (NEMA 14-30) that I can include if you need it. I also have a pair of strong metal sawhorses that the press has been sitting on, I can include them for $20 extra.
I am located in Salisbury, CT 06068 near the NY and MA borders. I am two hours north of NYC, three hours from Boston. The unit weighs 159 LBS. I can help get it onto your vehicle. I have a cart on wheels that it can slide on to, to make it a little easier but it will still take some effort and strength.
