I’m looking at purchasing a KSR-JT manual underpinner. It features front pedal operation where the moulding faces you. Can that be altered so that the moulding faces away from the foot pedal?

Do you know the brand of the underpinner?
With many underpinners, you can simply set it us so you stand 180 degrees from the intended position.
I don't see that code number coming up on the internet, so I'm not sure what machine you are looking at.

Thanks for the reply. I think after looking at it I can detach the foot pedal and move it to the other side of the underpinner and reattach it.
The owner doesn’t have an owner’s manual and there’s no make/model on it

I would assume that the model is KSR-JT.
Do you have any pictures?
Those would help quite a bit.

This thread might be of interest. The machine you are looking at is a made in China model. You can buy this one at Walmart online as well

Looking at the photo in the listing, I would assume that you could swap it, but no guaruntee.
I have no experience with leg powered underpinners, only pneumatic.
I used a leg powered chopper for about a year (when in my 20s). I don't recall any leg strain, but I likely would get some now.
