Does anyone have a CS810 or experience with one that might be willing to chat with me? I inherited one and have some questions. Thanks- clare

Well for one thing, is the plunger supposed to have a plastic foot or something? And I'm baffled by this metal spacer thing?

I am struggling with this very wide and tiered moulding. I don't know how to pin the outside edge, as it is lower than the rails, but any kind of spacer I put in there is going to harm the finish and dent the wood. And anything soft or padded to build it up screws up the pinning.

I used a mitre mite for a lot of years and I feel like a total dumbhead with this Cassese!:shrug:

The cs810 only had a very thin piece of plastic stuck to the base of the steel vertical clamp (nothing else)

The spacer bars in your first pick are only used when the rear of the frame is below the height of the moulding fences, they push the frame away from the fences to ensures the vertical clamp make contact with the frame.

Putting a narrow wooden chevron on top of your gold moulding before activating the clamp would be required to ensure the clamping is sufficient.

The large Perspex triangle you have is not a Cassese item.

I have a rough jig to help with joinng the outside edge of these mouldings. I also have a triangle of acrylic like yours I often put over some moulding to help protect frames and spread out the presssure when joining.
I also have the 810. Mine has a bit of a air leak in the block right now that I am trying to figure out.

If the block you referred to is the valve manifold then the leak is usually being caused by either:
the Compair valve seal/end caps being worn.
or the main firing cylinder piston seal is worn.

Valve repair kits are available.

Thanks I will investigate the leak more and contact you for parts through your website.
I don't want to hijack Clare's topic.
Thanks

Thanks, very helpful! I have two of those jigs too. I tried one on the moulding face but it dented so now I'm freaked out about using it, or thought maybe I wasn't doing it right.

It's ok you can hijack! Hey I see you are in Eau Claire! Hi neighbor!

I have not had my jig dent the moulding. The piece that contacts the moulding is 3/8" wide and I put a pad of matboard on the bottom of it.
Hope everything is going welll in the new space!
