Help Cassese CS20 Temperamental?

So I’m testing a used machine.
Its in great visual shape but only fires the vnails intermittently.
It seems like the horizontal clamp has to be set just right?
Also when it does fire, vertical clamp only engages for a short time.
I’ve only ever used AMP mchines.

It’s is the moulding detection switch that is causing this issue, if you by pass it the problem will go away.
On early models the switch was mounted under the table on later models the switch was mounted just behind the moulding fences on the top of the machine.
(Without knowing which version of Cs20 you have I cannot say where exactly on your machine it is mounted)

That’s an earlier version where the detector switch is mounted under the left hand side of the table, it’s just a small lever valve with two pipes - if you link the two pipes together it will bypass this detector.

I take it this is the later version with the moulding detection switch on top?

Yes it is, the switch/valve is under the aluminium plate with the blue sticker on it.
