I am tired of grabbing for the glue bottle when joing from at the underpinner. Especially on big jobs. Is there some kind of auto glue dispenser gizmo that anyone uses or knows about? I need to speed up production.

I suppose most folks buy largish bottles of glue for economy, but hefting a big bottle all day is a bit wearing. I used to decant some glue into a smaller bottle but nowadays I squirt some into a wide-topped container and use a brush to literally paint it on. Much quicker and more controllable. In practice, as soon as a big bottle is getting down to maybe 1/3 full I slice it in half and that becomes the dipping vessel. This half-pot gets topped up from a new big bottle until that bottle is 1/3 full and then that bottle gets chopped and replaces the previous one. And so on....
When I've finished joining I wrap the chopped bottle in cling film. No more shaking the bottle when it gets nearly empty and you don't waste a drop.

A bit low-tech, but cheap. :D

A plastic mustard squeeze bottle, kept near full. I get mine from Hannafords in Maine.

I make a yearly pilgrimage..... er.... business trip......... to pick up a new one.

Lol.

Wow Prospero that really is low tech, I like it though, gonna give that a try.

I've also been looking for a better gluing system gizmo but no luck. I tried the Glubot from FASTCAP last year and a big improvement, since then I bought a few more. It reminds me of the solvent bottles used in Chemistry class back in school.

Glue is fed from the bottom so you don't have to tip the bottle over and shake. You just pick it up and squeeze. Constantly tipping over the bottle and shaking was getting really annoying. Also really helpful in situation where you have to glue something vertically or in an awkward position.

I chose to got with the smaller 4 oz bottle, because my volume it's high enough were I use large volume of glue and glue tends to thicken up when you don't use it frequently enough. I'm going to replace my dish soap bottle at home with the larger Gluebot.

There are Youtube videos on Gluebot. FYI, Glue still builds up on the tip and you have to clean it out over time but no more shaking.
