Using a nail set without a hammer? I had to see it to believe it. This is what the company says about the "#1 and #2 Nail Set Combination Tool":

#1 and #2 Nail Set
This Combination Nail Setting Tool is ideal for setting and countersinking different sized nails and brads. The tool has a different sized nail set on each end of the tool. Professional painters and finish carpenters love this tool and tell us it's the perfect tool to fix "Shiners" that happen when nail guns fail to drive the brad below the surface of the wood. Our tool effectively repairs the problem without damaging the wood. A must have for all woodworkers and painters!

There are more to choose from in the "Woodworking Tools" section. I ordered and just got in the one described above and a couple of other different "spring" tools.

THIS is their website.

Love it...thank you for telling me about them. I'm gonna order the ID stamping kit for my hubby for Christmas. :)

Never thought about these applications, but I've used a spring center punch for decades. I've heard they make good "window breakers" too...

The methodology for using that looks a little like that "Tug-n-Tone" exercise thing over on Warped.
