I have an Andy Warhol print that is a "screenprint with diamond dust on colophon printed on Lenox Museum Board". I've googed this process to try to learn more but can't seem to find it. What is the process and what makes it special?

The print is "The Art of Mickey Mouse" 24x30 and is OUT OF PRINT. From what I can tell, it is going up in value.

I'm debating if I should hold onto it.

Thanks for your help!

Many Warhol prints are embellished this way. "Colophon" usually refers to a finishing touch. It simply means that the piece was screen printed (silkscreen process) and the "Diamond Dust" was applied as a finishing touch to either a wet clear coat or directly to the colored ink before it dried. In the production of suites it also refers to the final sheet in the suite that carries process information. As to it's value if it is signed and numbered there is a good chance it is valuable although Warhol is not as popular as he once was. I would do more research on it and note the sizes mentioned when you find them, most of his later prints were larger and square.

You might ask these people about its value.
