Opinions Wanted TPB Framer's Corner Underpinner? Comments

It's an English machine that resembles a couple of Italian models. Maybe it is one of those in red, instead of green or blue.

If it is "like new" condition and you can get consumables for it, maybe it's a decent buy. The seller says the image is not an actual photo of the machine for sale, and there is no information about its age, its previous usage, or present condition. I would be skeptical.

I suggest asking the seller for more details and actual photos of the machine. Information about the fasteners might provide an important clue to its manufacture. If you have to go to England for those consumables, it may be a problem. On the other hand, if you can determine that it is similar to a brand sold in the USA, that might be OK. If I were you I would ask the seller to include close-up photos of the fastener box, so you can see all of the numbers, names, and descriptive information on it.

Where are you? If you are in England, availability of parts and consumables may be no problem, but shipping from the USA could be an issue.

Looks like the old Putnam. I'm betting 20 years old. I wouldn't even consider it without being able to use it first.
