I have searched for the thread on suppliers to replace Presentation Systems but can't locate it. We need to replace a bunch of print storage sleeves.

The ones from LJ are not working. Corrugated (white) and brittle feeling plastic.

Where are you getting the ones with various color fabric edging? We had black ones years ago.

I don't need archival. These are for temporary storage and poster/print display in bins.

Suggestions?

I have seen about 3 threads here and on the FC, in the past 60 days, none have yielded any results. I put everything in Clear Bags now.

That's the name I was searching for.

Thanks!

Great, glad you got it.

Now can somebody tell me where to get print sleeves for artwork to be framed?
I need the plastic sleeves with thin board to store artwork in my print drawers.
They're not fancy at all. No finished edges.

Thanks for any leads...

Is it something like this you are looking for, this is a US supplier...

Carr and McLean are a Canadian option

We store things we're going to be working on in folders we made of unbuffered Bristol a.k.a. Barrier board. Folders generally cause less wear-and-tear when putting things in or taking them out than most sleeves do.

Big things get folders made with coroplast backs with Bristol board covers. If we put folders together with tape, we cover the sticky part that might come in contact with the art/sheet with paper (just about any type will do -it's short term storage).

Excellent method...

I think that is correct. The USD is at the weakest point against the pound in years. Last week it was $1.70 (gasp). These are beautifully made - but are more for "display" than for storage.

Here are the "less expensive" ones - still well made: http://www.displays4sale.com/StoreModules/ProductDetails.aspx?p=Traditional-Poster-Print-Sleeves

They cost out to $19.36 for 30 x 40 in 25 quan.

What are you using them for? If you don't care about the fancy metal corners, the lower end product that may work fine. I saw them in Birmingham and they are very well made.

I have two store's worth of sleeves that I am willing to part with for a song. Not "retail display" worthy but excellent for storing customer's goods while in process for framing. Assorted sizes. These aren't from Presentation Systems.

I don't share your love for Presentation Systems. I have at least 50 from them that I will GIVE you (or anyone else) for the price of shipping. They are brittle and yellowed at the top. Presentation Systems used CARP materials for the last shipment I received.

Rob, We need some to replace our aging display sleeves for posters. I need around 30-50 and Selwyns are price prohibitive. I can order the CARP ones from LJ for art storage. Omega has a side loading one that I have not seen up close, but I prefer top loading for bins. Our 10 Mil sleeves from Pres Systems are dirty but servicable after many years. Only for temporary storage though, and only with paper or board over the art.
