It is foot pedal operated so that it frees up both of your hands
Industrial quality joiner (underpinner) in excellent shape. Only used 3 times. Nothing is wrong with it, we just don’t have the time or the space for picture framing in our business.
We bought it brand new in 2004 or 2005, and only used it 3 times, when my husband became ill, and I don’t do framing. Since then, our business focus has shifted, and we have moved and hence we don’t have the time or space to use it at this time in our lives. It is essentially brand new as the pictures will indicate.
We bought it brand new from “Framing Supplies” . Currently they are selling it at $1,251.86. A few years ago we paid upwards of $1500 for it. It works great and it is in like new condition! You can see by the photos what pristine condition it is in. ( A small compressor is all that is needed to run it, which does not come with it. That is a separate entity that we had to buy for ourselves as well--or anyone that has this kind of a machine needs to buy their own compressor--but compressors are inexpensive, only $100 or so new.) It is made to frame up to a 5 inch face frame (and anything smaller as well!) So, if you need to create a wonderfully majestic large face picture frame, this is the ideal machine. OR if you need to make a tiny frame, this is great. Or ANY SIZE FRAME in Between!
The make is PILM, International , Made in Italy.
it is the 5500 Corner Pro series and it is marked on the machine: 5x5 Matricola 8670
and Made in 2003. As we said, it is still essentially brand new because it was only
used very little (approx. 3 times.) As you can see in the bottom photos, this piece of equipment is immaculate!
This is for the picture frame joiner. It connects your framing chop together so that you can connect your 4 frame pieces into one finished frame. It also has some extra accessories that comes with it.
This is not for the stand, as we did not opt for the stand at the time of purchase. If you don’t already have one, you could build one, OR they currently have them for sale for around $120 (just a few years back the stands were $600). Or, you don’t even need a stand if you have a table.
For anyone who needs a professional and excellent well made, top industrial quality picture frame joiner, this is an ideal situation as our machine is essentially brand new.
