I have a Dewalt 12" Mitre saw with a Mitre Master measuring scale attahed to it. I am not all that impressed with the Mitre Master scale - it was very difficult to set-up and the constant measuring of the lip before every cut is time consuming. I'm thinking of buying a mitre scale from clearmount. What is your experience with mitre saws and what are ypur reomendations?

Thanks in advance for your help.

After ten years, our Phaedra Saw-Helper's hairline guide still measures accurately to 1/32".

The table surface also has a measuring guide with slanted lines. It isn't as accurate as the hairline guide, but probably within 1/16" - close enough for most framing purposes.

I like the hold-down arrangement on the SawHelper, too.

I'll second that. We have a 12 inch and a 10 inch Phaedra saw set ups. The hold downs work fantastic and the measuring is right on.
They are worth every penny. We use them mainly for wider frames and multi angle frames. We use a CTD 45 for the bulk of our cutting.

I have a Clearmount system and I like it. You measure with the rabbet facing you. It is very affordable compared to other systems I believe. I bought mine in Atlanta a couple of years ago.The show specials can save you a few bucks.
