Hello,
I am looking to get a point driver and I see there are some on amazon ranging from $35 to logan ones for $75. I am also seeing a few used Fletchers in my area for around the $75. Are all point drivers made equal and diminish with age?

While doing searching on post related to this, it looks like there are a bunch of complaints with these as they age. Curious if anyone has any suggestions on a good option. Probably only going to realistically make 3-5 frames a month.

Thanks

I use a Fletcher Multipoint gun (Yellow). It's been very well behaved and rarely jams.
I find the usual points a bit too thick if you have to fire at an angle and bend them down
and they don't grip as well as the two-pronged multipoints.

I've been using the same black Fletcher point driver for 14 years.
I have only had to do a minor bit of easy repair work to it once.

I also have a yellow Logan point driver. For lower volume production, it is fine. But it isn't built as robustly as the Flethcer ones.

Many years ago I was given a second black Fletcher and a green Fletcher, both also many years old and still working fine.

The only problem I have had is I dropped one of the black ones and broke a couple of pieces off it, but it still functions just fine.
That alone is enough for me to stick with Fletcher if I ever need to buy a new point driver.
They are built extremely well, are durable, reliable, and easy to replace parts.

I have both the black and the yellow Fletcher point driver. I did buy an extra black one a year ago as a seller on eBay had a great deal for a new one. It's my back-up as I can't imagine not having one
