Have started working on a project to put posters & prints in a new K thru 4th grade school. Any ideas or suggestions on sources of art that would fit this age group?
Thanks

Remember if we are not talking about "high-end" art here, this is a perfect opportunity to drymount and laminate the images to be hung in the school ..... no glass! Therefore, much safer for the kiddies!

Johns idea of their own art would be my choice. Maybe a local printer with a large color copier could help out. Talk to some teachers they always save things to exhibit in fairs. Several of thier originals in a frame together!

Think maybe I'll see about doing one free gratis at a school and drum up some business. Principals like not to be out done.

Long story made short: I just finished a bunch of kids' work for a teacher for whom I do this each year. As well as showing the original art, she scans her favorites into her computer, manipulates the size and colors (to create the Warhol look), and sometimes the dimensions, then I mount, mat and Uni-Clip frame. She sells bunches of these each year as a fund-raiser for the local Arts Center. The scanned ones look very professional.

Definitely their own art in colorful metal frames. We do this once a year for a school for disabled children, and the look on their faces when they see their artwork in frames makes it that much more worth it. It's also a great way to bolster the kids' interest in art.
