I tired of spraying my canvas prints with liquid laminate and am looking for an alternative to spraying.
I do not have a clam shell vacuum press so I can not use film.
I saw this applicator from Drytac while doing some research: Drytac Elitecoater Video

Anyone uses this machine? Opinions?

Thanks in advance.

Disclaimer-I'm not an expert.
It may depend on your brand of printer. I know Epson has some printers that have a "heat element" on outfeed and with appropriate canvas, no coating neccessary.
Also, I found this http://www.breathingcolor.com/action/bc_shop/310/
I recommend talking with them or your printer supplier.

Thanks for the suggestion but I do not have an Epson printer. I use Canon printers. I looked into and tested the Breathing Color canvas. Eventhough they say you do not need to laminate the canvas, I found that you still do have to laminate it.

Why do you need to laminate? Is ink scratching on corners or edges when stretching?
Have you talked with Canon? Are you using correct ink?

I used permajet canvas varnish, rolled on, this takes a bit of practice but with 2 coats the results are outstanding.
