I recently acquired a used Jyden with newly sharpened blades. I cannot for the life of me get the blades installed to get a 90 degree angle. Once all moulding pieces are secured together, all corners still have small gaps. I need some advice on what the blades should look like (pictures helpful) on the chopper, steps for how to get them into place correctly. I did not receive a lot training on the machine before acquiring and I'm at a loss.

Thanks!

Here, from our manuals library

Also, some basics when cutting.
Don't try to cut the miter all at once. The head moves away from the fence and allows for incremental nibbles of about 1/8" with a narrower final cut.
Any adjustment in the miter angle is made with the infeed fence. The outfeed fence stays parallel with the support extension.
The rabbet supports need to be set correctly for each new profile.
The blades may have been recently sharpened, but may not have been properly sharpened. The factory sharpening is hollow ground, and according to the manufacturer (Jyden was made by Morso at one point) hollow ground is the proper sharpening method. There is some disagreement about this as there are proponents of flat sharpening.
After-market blades are pretty much a waste of money. Stick with the name brand. They are available through Tech-Mark https://www.tech-mark.com/ Home | Tech Mark As is sharpening.

This is helpful, and I have been taking tiny bites. Can you tell me how you install the blades? Step by step if possible? and what you look for to line up the blades. Do the tops have to be flush just as the blades do?

If you use the Search function in the upper right corner, you will find some very descriptive explanations of how to change the blades (and maybe even a video).

If I do a search for 'reinstall blades', the threads are about blade sharpening. Can you please point me to what you searched to find reinstallation?
