I am interested in a new hanging system for framed art at the shop and noticed the system known as Ook- brass rods.
Anyone have any experience with this system? (or others like it.)
Pros, cons, comments and good jokes are welcome!!

we sell them to architectural firms, engineering firms and some restaurants. Very well received and look very trendy.

Since I have wood slat walls in the gallery, haven't used them here, but don't see why they wouldnt look just as good in a gallery as they do in my installations.

United and Impex carry Fench Gallery Rods and there are a few others too.

Good luck with 'em

FG,
we use the French Gallery Rods from United. We like them alot easy to hang, little expensive though. Easy to use. You get 1 hook with each rod purchased and can buy more hooks. We have walls made out of three different materials, mounting the J channel wasn't a problem.

Colored Framica makes great channel and comes in many colors.

Agree with Jerry...when I moved to a new location in May, I bought the French Gallery Rods from United and, while expensive, they work well. They seem a little "wobbly", but they hold what I need them to hold and adjusting the display is relatively easy. Recommend you buy at least one extra hanger per down rod purchased so that you can hang one piece over another...another thing...you can't have too many rods because big pieces require two rods/hangers to hold them (each hanger has a 30lb limit I think)...anyway, I'm pleased thus far and would buy them again even though slat walls are very appealing.
