I need two really nice looking sturdy display easels for my my shop. I also need them to be easy to transport in my SUV for occasional presentations. They will display framed artwork.

Thanks for any ideas or experience you have.

I have purchased a couple from United through the Framers Club at crazy low prices. They have several different finishes and sizes. I am very happy with them and the one that people bump into constantly has not tipped over and the art has not fallen off.

The best!

Kirstie,

Xylem is the only easel we use and sell in our shop - We keep about 15-20 in stock all the time and have carried them since 1986.

We stock three sizes and have different finishes. Black is very neutral but it can chip if transported a great deal. That's the off-white Xylem easel holding this "Keep Calm" poster on display...

And another walnut Xylem easel holding this frame at the end of our moulding "space savers" (old shop location)...

Interesting John, you sell the easels. Are you buying for a wholesale source other than the company online? Do you just keystone your price? How do ou market the easels? Curious minds want to know...

Thanks!

Kirstie, I have 3 of the black bifold Xylem. They are pretty nice. The one thing you need to be careful about is that the pegs are in snugly. You don't want the picture crashing down. Just bring a rubber mallet or hammer with you, and give each peg a sturdy couple of taps.

P.S. I'm only using 2 of the 3. The third is still in the box, hint hint.

I have several easels in my shop, but it is the Xylem I reach for when needing to display something in a traffic area or I am going to display something at another location. They simply fold up and are easy to transport. It is the most stable design I have ever run into. I have never had enough interest to stock them, but the last time I looked they were wholesaling them to framers.

Kirstie

I have six of these easels remaining from my recent downsizing. We have used them in all our galleries for years. They have a nice clean look and take up minimal floor space.

The shelf is adjustable and the legs/base can be removed for easy storage/transport.

Let me know if these interest you, they would ship fairly easy.

where every you get them try to get them with extra 'ears' so that 2 pix can be put on the same easle(in a pinch) really comes in handy when you have multiple pix and dont have/want many easles! doent look as 'elegant' but is a LOT more practical

Kirstie,

In case you need another vote, I also have used Xylem in our store. I have 8 that I have had for over 10 years and they hold up very well.

inexpensive easels

I have purchased 2 easels from Home Goods, that are more decorative than those listed here . They are quite sturdy. Be sure to tighten all screws, etc before using. The most I paid was 29.99$. I've had them for 4 years with no issues.
