I just had a customer bring me a acoustic and electric guitar for me to shadowbox. I need to know what mouldings are available to use for the depth (4.25") of a acoustic guitar. Also whereto get holders or ways to hold them in place in the shadow box. Any suggestion?

Picturewoods makes mouldings that have stackers to match to create pretty much any depth.

They are stained at the same time as the frame so they match.

We manufacturer acrylic frames to any depth needed to accommodate you item to be framed and we make our "rabbit" frame that will allow you to use any mounding you want. If you would like pictures or more information please contact me and I will be happy to help.

There is a woman named Mary Witt, Witt's Custom Framing out of Iowa who makes some of the most beautiful shadowbox moulding that I hav ever seen. Her workmanship is superb. She can make you any color up to 6" deep. She will do joins, chops, or length and is very well priced. Give her a call. Her phone number is 563-245-2717. I'm sure she can help you.
BTW, I will be shooting my 5th DVD on mounting musical instruments and have both acoustic and electric guatar's as part of the demo's If you want to give me a call, I think I can also help you with a easy method for mounting guitars.. 800-527-1521
