Slimline A.J..gifZ-Access Memories 2.jpgZ-access Marathon.jpgZ-Access Wedding.jpgZ-Access Watch.jpgZ-Access 3D Frames are a new product, made 100% in Chicago, IL. The The Z-Access 3D Display Frame is an excellent way to display and protect 3 dimensional objects, and it is the perfect way to showcase art, keepsakes, memorabilia, decor etc. The frames are inexpensive and extremely easy to use! It opens on a hinge and uses two membranes that are made from an extremely elastic, tear resistant, UV resistant, clear film. The film is medical grade and is usually used in the packaging and storage of medical implants, optics and aerospace parts, so it is clean, acid free, and will not stick to the item that is in it. This makes it perfect to display and protect everything from medals, awards and memorabilia to hand painted and delicate artwork. Our website is http://www.displayit3d.com , and the frames can be purchased there individually and you can contact me anytime with requests for reseller wholesale pricing. My direct phone # is 773-220-7833. After visiting the website Please let me know what you think, or if you have any questions. Also, email me anytime @ ahess@thelewibellecompany.com

Interesting.

I don't like the way that you take a pot shot at framers about shadow boxes being expensive.

My apologies and certainly no shots were intended. With this product, we are in no way trying to take over the sale and use of custom shadowboxes, afterall our product only has a 6" x 4" footprint. But in the framing industry, this can be a great alternative for those small items where sometimes people don't want or cannot afford to spend the money for a custom shadowbox, and this can be offered at a frame shop as an alternative in those instances. The video is dated, and lets face it, isn't exactly going viral. This product isn't intended to replace or take away from a custom shadowbox, as it is truly in it's own category in a way. Thank you for taking a look though.

Adam,

Just a thought. If I were trying to sell my product on a picture framing forum, having any sort of comment that is even a bit inflammatory towards framers might not be the best way to try and make progress. I didn't go see the video becuase I make it an effort to not promote (even though something as small as one additional view or click) anything that would take issue with the business I've been in most of my life. But if you have a framer pot shot there (and it's not helping you blow up the world) maybe editing your video to smooth that out would help you with the folks on this board (and the hundreds that lurk but don't post).

Again, just a thought and worth every penny you paid for it!

Aw, come on! Shadow boxes are expensive. Big, beautiful, and expensive. The new product being pitched here is a good, low-cost alternative that we can sell to those who don't want the full treatment.

What do you think the reaction would be from someone who was offered this at a professional frame shop? They'd be overjoyed, for God's sake! A new innovative alternative. And the company is being nice enough to cut us in on the action.

I don't see any "pot shot" at framers. If the product is made in the US, I'm for it.
Welcome to the Grumble, Adam.
Some of the "picture framing gods" take the title a little too literally. :icon11:

Again, my apologies for any disparaging remarks in the video that were certainly unintended. pwalters, I understand where you're coming from and your point is well taken on my end and I definitely appreciate the feedback. However, I think that if you watched the video you would see that there are zero shots taken at professional custom framers such as yourself and many others on this board. The comparison is with the DIY Shadowboxes that are sold by the big box craft, art and hobby stores and their online counterparts, but it is intended to be a comparison, nothing more nothing less. But, at the end of the day, you are correct, and I will making some edits to the video, as I am definitely not trying to alienate anyone. I do wish that your comments were based on your own opinion rather than assumptions based on another post, but at the same time I understand why you didn't watch it.

tedh - My guess you are being sarcastic and I appreciate that as well. The fact is, this is a very new product, but the few frame shops that have bought this wholesale and sold it in their shops have had success with it. Not as an alternative to what you describe as a big, beautiful, expensive shadowbox, but as a unique gift, or an inexpensive way to protect and display small items such as keepsakes, memorabilia, decor, etc. It's just a product that has a 6" x 4" display footprint that people seem to be into, not as a replacement for custom shadowboxes.

neilframer - Thank you for seeing this product for what it is. We take pride in manufacturing this product in the U.S. and employing people from our local community. We are a subsidiary of a packaging manufacturer here in Chicago that does a lot packaging for the medical and aerospace industries, along with manufacturing recyclable, re-uable protective packaging that is an alternative to poly and styro foam. The frame uses our proprietary film and is an idea that came out of the packaging side. We are family owned, always will be and committed to the domestic manufacturing of all of our products.

Again, my apologies for any unintended disparaging remarks. I will edit that out of the video.

Adam: I was not being sarcastic, but now I'm ticked. I like the product, and was being honest about its potential in the face of expensive shadowboxes. I've shown it to a customer who's looking for alternatives to team plaques. He's thinking of it for personalized hockey pucks.

And I don't think you should edit out anything. There's a limit to cooperation, and your product is a good fit for framers' product lines.

Apology accepted in advance.
