MGF, Master Grumble Framer
Customer came in for an "ordinary" frame for a certificate presented to him by the State of Connecticut. He mentioned in conversation that he was present at D-Day, and that "invasion stripes" were painted on many airplanes. So we decided to do something more special.
Not a great level of difficulty here, but a nice result. Moulding is Vermont Hardwoods #304 (love them) in Ash, nice heavy weight & tight grain. A few gesso layers, sanded between, Krylon matte outdoor spray paints. Museum glass/spacers. A quick backroom closed corner job!
