Dear Framers,
Well… we didn’t make it for October but word is CBS was “amazed” at the more than 200-framed sunshines and the different types of moulding that were used. We have not been ignored, they are “exploring” a segment.
So what the heck, at least they know we exist and we’ll take any coverage we can get whenever it happens.
The website had a total of 3624 framer individual sessions, 386 press sessions, with a total of 257,751 hits from July 1 to October 30.
Framers have reported to me:
Framing articles in five newspapers in the Ann Arbor area (thanks to PPFA)
Julie Balson, The Gallery & Frame Shop was in the Herald Democrat in Fond du Lac, Wis
The Associated Press picked up a story in Wash. DC and sent it out on the “wire”.
I know many weekly newspapers printed articles submitted by local framers and one framer now has a monthly column based on the free articles on the web site.
Several framers were on TV and Bob Victor and Gary Blitsch and I were on radio in Topeka Kansas.
An NAFM Art Auction at the Color Marketing Group Conference raised $4,400 for Habitat and Arts Bus Xpress charities.
There are no formal results for this –all I have is what you reported back to me and the website numbers.
Please send me pictures of the sunshines you sent or events you had, coverage you got and I’ll work them into an article.
You can still take articles off of the site www.artandframingmonth.com/help and put your name on them and submit to the local weekly papers it doesn’t have to be October.
