Coooool. Plus, I got a super crush on Lynda. You should get her album called "Portrait"

"......get us out from under Wonder Women, in her satin tights, fighting for our rights....."

Really nice, Kirstie. Usually I don't like mats that are somewhat busy, but this design is appropriate.

Much like when the first Macs came out and amateur designers had all kinds of type faces available and felt they had to use everyone of them in a layout, a new user of a CMC can overdue it. Just because a capability is there doesn't mean it should be used.

Good design often takes restraint.

The customer ordered it this way and Lisa worked her magic. She had to cut 3-4 trials first to get them to line up. Luckily we have a lot of scrap mat leftover from special order colors. We've done it with bubbles before as well. The customer saw this example in our shop and wanted something similar. Sometimes "over the top" makes the sale! We are having fun with the Wizard.

I know how to do the stars and connect them, but I haven't learned how to line up objects on the mat yet.

Great job, Kirstie. Just the right amount of star cutouts to give the mat that extra 'something' yet not going overboard with the design.

Basic alignment isn't that hard. You have to select the openings you want to align, and then go to the alignment screen -- that's where you can choose to align them horizontally and/or vertically. You can also use the X-Y plotting to put an opening in a specific location, but that's a bit more complicated. It takes some trial-and-error.

She's Wizard Woman!!!

Or Wonder Wizard!

Or Wonder Wizard Woman!!

Kirstie, may I borrow her some time?? Pleeze? Huh? Pleeeze?? Just a couple days? I'll feed her and everything. What does Wizard Woman prefer?

Seems to me the alignment problem wouldn't be among the stars themselves, but with getting the partial stars of the mat opening aligned with the ones on the poster. Kudos to your staff, Kirstie. Now we're gonna have to find a picture with bubbles so we can put up a sample like that.
