Okay, it's not a funny haha noise but more like a growling vibration when making an upwards vertical cut. Noise is normal going horizontal. It's worse going up but also a bit there when going down.

Cutting is fine. No difference from normal. Just sounds like something is "dragging". Almost like when a blade tip is broken.

I've cleaned out everything that could possibly be stuck but have found nothing.

Been doing this for a couple weeks. Two year old 8000.

Any ideas?

Possibly the bearings on the gantry assembly belt driveshaft. (I probably just gave it a wrong name... it's the drive shaft in a tube, to the left side, which causes the gantry to move across the top and button belts in unison.)

We are always careful never to touch it, or to move the gantry with this bar/tube. Even though, we have had to replace ours twice. It appears to be one of the weaker parts of the hardware. I believe it's fairly harmless; just a bit loud :) In both cases with ours, the noise was coming fom the upper end of the gantry assembly.

That's only a guess. The folks at Wiz may reply with a better one, and you may want to call tech support to ask.

Good Morning Mike!

The tech people said it could be that the "belt" going vertically may need tightening. Thought I would see if anyone else experienced this before trying to tighten it.

Did you fix your problem? Was it a difficult fix?

I try to never touch the tube! (under penalty of federal or Wizard law!)

Thanks
