Does anyone know if the Wizard Decorative Debossing tool would work with a 5 year old 8000 model? And if it would be hard for me to install?

It should work fine, as long as the machine has a new version of the software - and enough memory. It's just a CD that installs, and a few new tips that go into the blade holder assembly. Once you calibrate each of the debossing tips for your machine, you are ready to use it.

Mikes right - its basically new software (including new cutart and fonts specifically designed for debossing) and new cartridges (three different pen widths) and is available for all the 8xxx series of mat cutters. So it's really as hard as installing new software..
