Does anyone else have serious problems getting their CMC to cut text without the blades breaking?? I've tried 5 times just today to cut "Parker" in a mat and each time the blade breaks!! I have the text 2 inches tall and am using a very simple text (Arial Rounded). Anyone have any suggestions?

Be sure the blade / cutting head is coming up all the way.
I have seen that too. Call wizard and they recommended a specific type of lube.
Did the trick. Problem was that the blade was not coming up far enough before it turned.

I had exactly this problem not too long ago. I wasn't cutting text, but I was tearing out corners. Again, this was because the blade carriage was sticking and not retracting fully before turning. The tech support guy recommended getting dry silicone lube (available at most any auto parts or hardware store), pulling out the blade cartridge, and spraying down the inside. He also said to spray any openings you see and to pay particular attention to the plastic washers on the sliding parts. Work the blade carriage in and out by hand a few dozen times to distribute the silicone, wipe off the excess, and you should be good to go.

Welcome to The G!

I have problems with blades breaking too.

There are some things that you are just not going to be able to cut.

I have had trouble with cutting text in that the cutouts stick on the blade and then when the arm moves to the next letter, the blade won't cut because the cutout is in the way.
Also, I am having multiple problems with my driver pak. Has anyone else had to repeatedly replace their driver pak? This week I will receive my second replacement. This time around I suddenly lost power while cutting a mat and no troubleshooting through Wizard could solve the issue.

Most likely the radius is just too tight with this font at this size. You could use a "straighter" font or maybe increase the size. I have had to "re-draw" some fonts in order to smooth out the arcs as well. True type fonts aren't designed to cut only to print but they can work if the size is large enough or you're able to rework them so they will cut. You may have better luck cutting it as a v-groove because with less blade sticking out you can cut a tighter radius. Good luck!

yeah, looks like the 'rounded' is the problem. to tight of a turn will break the tip off. Ive had to change fonts for that same reason.
