Hello!
I am pretty new with the Wizard, but have jumped head first into it over the last few months. I could use some advice, although I think I'm screwed.
The guest wants the Ford logo cut out in the top right corner of her mat opening, where it will cover some of the blank space of the artwork.
When the Wizard is cutting the letters in 'Ford', the blade snaps in the same place each time. I'm almost positive this is because the logo is too small (whole oval 7" wide, not sure what size font is exactly), I was just hoping someone had a solution before I broke it to the guest.
Thank you!!!

I don't know what model Wizard you have, but there is a minimum radius I can cut on my 8000 because of the width of the blade,
This may be an issue because of that kind of limitation. Something maybe better taken up with Wizard tech support.

I am also cutting on the 8000. We are planning on calling tomorrow when we have a chance, was just hoping to get a quicker answer. :)

I'm sure that Wally is right about to tight of a turn.
As the Ford Logo is not standard, I'm sure someone put some time in Trace, or Path Trace.
Can you go back into the design, and modify that specific spot? Possibly turn a tight curve into a series of cuts?

If your Wizard 8000 can't cut that logo, maybe one of your usual distributors of framing materials could do it for you, using a newer design Wizard, Gunnar, or Valiani machine. Some of them do this sort of "fulfillment" for their customers all the time.

I might try to modify the logo just a tiny bit in that one spot. Thanks for the suggestion! It took me way too much time to trace since this is my first "fancy" cut on the Wizard for a customer, I've only done some practice ones for shop displays. The first try with this didn't go well as I did all of the layers backwards. Almost hard to soak in everything I'm learning in this process!

Trace is a bit of a challenge (understatement), but it is neat the options it opens up.
One other option for you, is not to cut the design, but to deboss it. I'm pretty sure that the 8000 is compatible with the debossing tools. Those do not turn during the "cutting", so should be able to do tighter curves. It is a much subtler effect.
If you were working with the 9000 or later, you could also try it with the pen tool. That also does not turn during use.

Definitely revisit that corner in the design, but also check your slip mat to make sure there isn't a piece of blade stuck or a deep chip/groove in the goof spot. That can cause the blade to break again and again because it's physically catching on something underneath.

Good to know! I will keep that in mind.

Update! Had to tweak the design a tad, and make it slightly bigger. Learned a lot for next time! Thanks for your input everyone!
