Just got everything going on it and cut my first mat out of a full sheet of mat board. The fall out came out fine but when it cut the outside it didn't cut all the way through. Any ideas on what I'm not doing?

Minor depth adjustment. Without changing the setting in the software turn the knob up about 1/4 of a number so 11 in the software and 11.25 on the knob

How many mat board sheets including the one you're cutting do you have on the machine? In the book one says two extra and another says 3 extra

Two slipsheets under a regular 4 ply mat. One under an 8 ply. The depth setting is based on the protrusion of the blade from the head sliding on the surface.

Tweak by increasing blade depth on the dial & on screen setting. Say you started at 11 you could try by increase on the dial a few clicks. If you begin to go to wholes numbers, 12, 13, be sure to change this on screen settings too. We use the full Crescent line of mats. I find the Solid Core Museum Rag need to have a deeper setting than regular Rag and Select.

Form time to time I have this issue also. I can't figure out why it will cut clean for the opening but not all the way through on the outside.
