I have a Wizard 8500e, and when I hit cut, then the clamps go down, the head doesn’t rotate to the position it’s supposed to, and therefore the blade comes down in the wrong position and tears the mat and breaks the blade.. Help PLEASE!!!

A trick for solving various Wizard behavior problems is to turn everything off, then unplug & replug the large black cable from the controller box to the machine, at both ends. Sometimes these can get jarred from vibration, and doing this exercise re-seats all the contact pins to make sure the signals are getting through properly. Then turn on the driver box first, then a couple of minutes later start the computer, then the software. I do this periodically even if no behavior issues are present.

I have unplugged everything numerous times. It’s very frustrating, I have used wizards for nearly 21 years. I have never had an issue like this.
I was ver y fortunate on this machine, a guy who we buy matboard from called me and told me to come get that cuter. It hadn’t been ran for a couple of years, at least. It has ran good until now. I had to realign the gantry, but other than that, it has worked perfectly..
