I am a new user to the Wizard......So any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

I am cutting a double mat with 2 openings and a v-groove.

I'm cutting the bottom mat first and I checked the "Cut Layers Stacked" box and I got a pop up window that says "only normal bevel openings can be stacked". I checked my config and it says Normal Bevel.

Can I cut stacked layers on the 8000?

Also, I'm not sure how the tiling works but under that tab is says "number of mats" is 1.

I looked up in the help what "tiling" was = it say's " the tiling section is used to cut the current design several times across the matboard". (I don't have a clue at this point as to what that means) My thought was if I changed this to 2 mats that I could do the stacked layers but I don't think that's the case.

Thank you.

Sue

You can't cut in layers because of the v-groove.
The v-groove must be cut from the front.

Sorry, but with a v-groove, I think your best bet is to cut each layer separately then attach them together after they're cut.

Tiling is for cutting multiple of the same mat from a single sheet of matboard.
It solves a completely different problem than your having.

One other thing, make sure to click on the cut from front box when cutting the undermat. Since cutting from the front uses a different configuration than cutting from the rear, you may not get as even a fit if you don't cut them both in the same way.
