This may be a dumb question but....

I have the Wizard 8000 running 5.0 (I know I have been putting off up grading...bad me). I down loaded the CaddMats.exe file and installed it to the wizard. How do I (or can I easily)save them to a regular Wizard file that can be recalled the way I would load a regular saved mat? Do I have to do the entire cutting process through the Cadd program?

The Cadd Mats (*.VCD) are loaded using the VCD Browser. This is usually found by clicking on Start, Program, Visual Cadd 4.0 > VCD Browser.

These files are Cadd files, not Wizard Files, but through the VCD Browser you can load them into the MatDesigner to cut.

On the other hand, I believe you CAN open them in PathTrace (Start, Program, Visual Cadd 4.0 > PathTrace), then save them as a CutArt (*.WCA) which can then be loaded into your MatDesigner on the Editor by clicking "Add CutArt Opening".

Otherwise, you can open them in Cadd, edit as desired, retrace, and save as a CutArt.

With the new Merge function we haven't had to use the Cadd program but I'd guess after you've traced the drawing or used wiztrace you'd just File, Save As and put the drawing in the Wizard Mats folder.
