I have a customer that has a print she bought attached to a box that was wired with small light bulbs where the street lights in the print are. I know these things were around and popular in the late 80's and 90's but haven't seen any around recently. Does anyone here have a source for that kind of work? Thanks as always.

Brings back a memory that puts a little smile on my face...

My parents had quite a wide selection af art work. After they passed away we were cleaning out the homestead where they lived for about forty years and raised all seven of us kids.

In their bedroom, closeted away, was an oil painting of an evening street scene in just such a box with the cord dangling. I wondered why it had a cord attached and plugged it in, Suddenly, along with some street lights, an upstairs window was backlit with the silhouette of a shapely lady on the lacey window curtains.

Not sure whatever happened to that painting or who the artist was, but I guess it was considered too racy to hang even in their bedroom.
