I am looking for a "window" frame for a customer, does anyone have any ideas for sources? The gal brought in a stitchery pattern w/the frame pictured, but I see no source for it printed. She's a pretty good "custom" framing customer, so I'd like to help her out with this one. The frame pictured is whitewashed, but it could be any color or even unfinished & painted/stained - it also has an arch at the top.

Thanks so much,
Debbie

We have designers ask about this quite a bit. If your customer is looking for the "weathered" look your best (and cheapest), source would be your local vinyl window distributor/installer. They typically remove old wood windows and usually haul them away as a part of their service. They usually set them outside their building where they literally disappear overnight. If your customer prefers new you can buy exactly what he/she wants from a wood window dealer.

Debbie, there was a supplier at the Atlanta show that had this kind of thing. I can get the name of them tomorrow, but I don't remember the name right off of the top of my head. One of my sales reps, reps a couple of different lines, and this is one of them. I'll give her a call, and let you know, if you like.

I have built a simmialr looking package using frames within a frame.
I took 6 5x7 frames screwed them together then built another frame to go around them It turned out just the way a wilndow sash would have looked.
Another option would be to use fillet's to creat the "look" of the sashing between the pains.

Hope this helped.

I've picked up a few multilight sashes from a local used,,,recycled...2nd hand....salvage building supplies place. These places are great for picking up used cabinets, windows, doors, toilets, sinks, trim moulding, architectural pieces, etc. The multilight sashes (windows) bring a premium though. Expect to pay about $30-45 for a 6 light sash, more if it has interesting paint. Don't think you can get a deal because the paint's a little weathered...they know what you're using it for...these guys can be pretty sharp so beware....

Sorry about the previous post.

We do make such frames for many of our needlework shop customers. We do these in any configuration and size.We don't have the type with an arch on the top however. Although we don't have them shown please check out our web site at www.wncframes.com, it will give you an idea of the types of frames that we do manufacture.
