I have been using my Wizard for about three weeks no... it is the first one i ever had. It came with an Acer 17" LCD monitor. I don't care for it because when i have, for example, a 24x36 mat with several openings to cut out (mainly vertical and horizontal 8x10's) it appears to be almost square and it only has a "700:1 contrast" ratio(no SHARP display) so you can't go by "what you see" when adding openings. I might get an LG 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor.

LG - 22" Widescreen Flat-Panel LCD Monitor
Model: L226WTQ-BF SKU: 8357379
2 ms response time; 3000:1 contrast ratio; 300 cd/m² brightness; 1680 x 1050 maximum resolution

Does anyone use a widescreen monitor with their Wizard CMC? Is it better than the "regular" (LCD, but NOT a widescreen) monitor? Thanks for any info.

What resolution (e.g. 1024x768) do you have your screen in Windows set to?

If you're using one of the default 4:3 ratio resolutions, then I'm surprised it being that far off...

I just did a 48" x 12" mat and it showed up fine on the monitor that Wizard supplied. Although it does appear a little smaller with that aspect ratio. Clicking on alignment still shows you exactally where your opening are and is more accurate to adjust them that way rather than by site IMO.
