Did I miss the thread about this?

I just read that Fletcher is discontinuing distribution of Valiani computerized mat cutters. Was this an April Fool's that I didn't get? Sure they say that they will continue to offer "support", but for how long and with what commitment?

Frankly, after what happened with the 5100 (6100?), I sure would be wary of buying a $20,000+ machine from Fletcher, but many did. If Fletcher decides to distribute another brand of CMC would you buy one from them?

Comments?

No I didn't. That thread is from 2003. I mean that I JUST read in either PFM or PFM production this week that Fletcher is dropping their NEWEST CMCs altogether (unless I misread) or don't understand.

Rob

I posted the wrong thread. I'm almost sure there was one a week or so ago. Can't seem to find it now! Maybe I was dreaming?!!!!!

Thanks for the link -How could I have missed it?

Well, I know Chris and Edd and if they are involved, V- owners can be confident that they will be in good hands. It is also reassuring that there will be a US office and that owners are not being left in the lurch.

Fletcher sure could have put a better spin in their press release-this situation surly isn't as bad as their discontinuation of the manufacturing of a machine.

Sorry to bring it all up again, but I just got the magazine and read the press release yesterday.

Nonetheless, V- still doesn't have "Brian Wolf" so I'm still with the other team :)

In fairness, Fletcher didn't pull out, Valiani decided to cut out the middle-man.
