How do you handle customers who leave their work for months after they've been called multiple times. I have some who have paid 50% of the cost and believe it or not some have paid in full. The thing is I'm tired of these things in my way and don't have the space to store them...but I don't want to loose a customer over it either. :help:

What you can do is offer to deliver the pieces that are paid in full, and perhaps offer the 50%ers delivery if you can take their credit card info over the phone (I know this costs YOU a bit more in charges) but it might get their stuff out quicker....I've tried it, and it's worked about 9 times outta 10.

That's a very good idea!! I have just such a situation now, a woman that owes around $150 on a couple of frames that I finished before leaving for the WCAF. We've called multiple times now. I remember when she placed the order, she was admiring a couple of other pieces on the wall, but said that money was tight because of her divorce so she would have to wait. So I'm guessing that she's delaying on the finished project so she can pay her divorce attorney. So maybe next time I call, I'll offer delivery, see if she calls back.
