This faux-coral frame is widely used in Florida, especially for marine paintings and tile art.

Have searched all over and asked for the original source/manufacturer but only get resellers.

I would really like to find the source as I wish to buy in large volume from the main distributor.

Grateful for any leads... Thanks! :)

Do you have any other info on them, even who retails them might be helpful. Are these standard size photo frames? Are you looking for more standard size photo frames like this or something custom.

The reason I ask is there are many frames here who work at box retailers or frame reps that might know too. ;)

Oh and welcome to the G! If you have time please tell everyone something about your self! People generally get great responses when Grumblers know who they are helping!

They look great, very interesting.

Thanks for your reply, Randy! My name is Allison, and I am an artist, a framer, and owner of an import/export company.

The Bass Pro Shops are one of the places that I have seen selling marine artworks displayed in this faux-coral frame, and I know several artists who use this frame too, such as William Boyce (marine photographer), and artists Guy Harvey and Carey Chen. Other big-game fishing stores that carry art usually have them displayed in the faux-coral.

I think these frames come in specific sizes, molded in keystone(?).

I hope there are some reps on The G or others with knowledge of this product who are kind enough to share the name of this frame's manufacturer. My aim is to purchase the product directly from the manufacturer.

Many thanks for your kind responses!

Hey Island Girl. Welcome to the G.

Some time early this year (I think) someone posted a link to the company that makes these. They mainly do architectural pieces like fireplace surrounds and the like, but they have branched out into frames and framed mirrors.

If this sounds familiar I'm sure someone with a better memory will be along soon with the company's name and website.

Edit: Or I suppose I could just do a Grumble search and point you to the Grumble discussion of it where a representative of the company posted his website.

To bad his links require a login with no practical way of doing so!

I doubt that one was the source for these frames anyhow. I remember looking at his site back during that discussion and I don't think it would fit the price point of these frames.

I imagine that if Bass Pro and the likes are selling these that they are an import from China and made out of some type of composite material not real stone. What is the retail price point on these frames?

Thanks, FramerDave and Randy!

I have known about the faux-coral frame for a few years now.

'Stoneman's post states that his product is new and since I cannot access his link, I don't know if this is the same as what I am looking for.

The search continues... :kaffeetrinker_2:

The frames from Pallazo Cast Products come in 4" and 6" wide moulding options. Not at all what IG is showing.

I'd guess a "made in china" option as well, but can't offer anything more specific. :(

So far the feedback I am getting from online searches/calls is that the company may well be based in the Florida Keys. The frames are supposedly produced there, not China.

I will keep on with my searches/leads and look forward to any further info here at The G.

Thanks! ;)

Just curious, when you say bulk are you talking about a gross of each size in each finish. Is it your plan to distribute these frames or just frame up several hundred pieces for resale. If you have seen these for sale somewhere such as the Bass Pro Shops you will most likely see a manufacturers name on the frame or packaging somewhere.

Hello Jeff! Thanks for your reply...

The frame has only one finish and comes in specific sizes, so I would buy large quantities of each. (It is not a molding that you cut to size but a single molded piece, used mostly for tile art). I have some customers overseas, so the frames would be exported.

I've seen these before but never paid any attention to them. We have the largest resort gift mart going on here in about a month and I bet the frame will be on display there. I don't know how soon you need to find these.

If you happen to come across anyone selling art with these faux-coral frames, please do find out all you can if you have a moment to spare at the show, (or a store)... all names/contact numbers are helpful!

Many thanks!
