Hi all, I am getting ready to purchase a pneumatic nail gun for use on those high profile mouldings when "stacked" v-nails alone need help. I am concerned about two things: setting the nail with minimal damage to the finish (less touch up) and versatility of the size of nails (or brads). In my opinion, a nail gun that uses 3/8" to 1 1/2" would be perfect. I have looked at a lot of different models but leave somewhat confused. Any suggestions? Thanks, Chuck T.

The originator of the micro pinner was the OMER tool company of Italy. They make a fine line of pneumatic tools for professional use. Their two pinners the PR 7 and the PR 28 drive 23 gauge micro pins that are almost invisible when used correctly. The pinners use from 7 mm to 28 mm pins ( ¼” to 1 1/8” long ) The PR28 is probably the most versatile for the typical frame shop. The pinners are reliable, light weight and long lasting. They easily outperform a similar series made in the orient and marketed by the SENCO tool company.

Art Materials Service Inc markets them to frame distributors in the USA and they can be obtained through any of their many distributors. If you cannot find them or need a name of a distributor near you call Aimee Eichert at AMS 732-545-8888 in New Jersey.
